This stunning Chrome Orange 2019 Lotus Elise SC220 received Front End Paint Protection Film (PPF) and arch guard protection to preserve its iconic lightweight bodywork from stone chips and road debris.
This Lotus Elise SC220 arrived at the studio for our Front End Paint Protection Film (PPF) package, ensuring the striking Chrome Orange paintwork remains protected from the hazards of everyday driving.
With its lightweight design, exposed wheel arches and low ride height, the Lotus Elise is particularly susceptible to stone chips and road rash, especially around the front bumper, bonnet, mirrors and rear arches. To combat this, the owner opted for a combination of front end PPF and arch guard protection, providing peace of mind while maintaining the car's original appearance.
Before any Paint Protection Film installation took place, the Elise underwent our full preparation process to ensure the paintwork was in the best possible condition prior to film application.
The vehicle received a meticulous decontamination wash, removing traffic film, iron fallout, tar deposits and any bonded contaminants from the paintwork. Attention was also given to areas often overlooked, including the wheel arches, door shuts, grilles and lower bodywork to ensure a perfectly clean surface for the film installation process.
Once fully prepared, we installed our Front End PPF package, protecting the areas most vulnerable to impact damage during road use.
This included protection for:

To further protect the Elise's bodywork, we also installed arch guards to the rear arches. These high-impact areas are notorious on Lotus models for suffering from paint damage caused by stones and debris being thrown up by the rear tyres.
Adding arch guards provides an additional layer of defence in one of the most vulnerable areas of the vehicle, helping to preserve the finish and reduce the likelihood of costly future paint repairs.
