A good pre-wash is an important first step when washing your vehicle. Before introducing a wash mitt to the paintwork, it's worth removing as much loose dirt and traffic film as possible.
Top Dog Snow Foam is a pH-balanced pre-wash cleanser designed to lift and encapsulate surface dirt and traffic film before contact washing begins.
One of its key advantages is its compatibility with a variety of existing surface finishes. It's designed for use on vehicles protected with ceramic coatings or wax, as well as matte finishes, vinyl wraps and Paint Protection Film (PPF).
This makes it a useful option for maintaining vehicles with different types of exterior protection.
How to Use:
- Dilute the concentrate at a 1:10 ratio in your foam lance.
- Apply an even layer across the vehicle.
- Allow the product to dwell for 4–5 minutes.
- Pressure rinse thoroughly from top to bottom before beginning the contact wash.
Top Dog Shampoo: Highly Concentrated Contact Wash
Following the pre-wash, the next stage is cleaning the remaining dirt from the vehicle's exterior.
Top Dog Shampoo is an ultra-slick, highly concentrated car shampoo developed with lubrication and safe contact washing in mind.
Its 1:1500 dilution ratio makes it a concentrated option for regular maintenance washing, while its lubricating formula is designed to help the wash mitt glide across the paintwork during cleaning.
For enthusiasts looking to minimise wash-induced marring, the shampoo is formulated for use with the traditional two-bucket wash method. This separates the shampoo solution from the clean rinse water, helping reduce the transfer of dirt back onto the wash mitt.
How to Use:
- Fill your wash bucket with water and add approximately 20ml of shampoo.
- Agitate the solution using a pressure washer to help mix the product.
- Fill a second bucket with clean rinse water.
- Wash the vehicle methodically from top to bottom using a suitable wash mitt.
- Rinse the mitt in the clean water bucket after each panel before returning to the shampoo solution.
- Pressure rinse the vehicle thoroughly when finished.
For best results, combine the shampoo with a dedicated wash mitt and clean buckets, and avoid washing in direct sunlight.
Top Dog Ceramic Sealant: Hydrophobic Protection and Gloss
Once the vehicle has been washed and rinsed, adding protection helps maintain its appearance between washes.
Top Dog Ceramic Sealant is a wet-applied, ceramic-infused sealant designed to bond to paintwork, glass, wheels and exterior trim.
Its main benefits include strong water repellency, a deep high-gloss finish and approximately 3–6 months of surface protection, depending on conditions and maintenance.
Unlike products that require application to a dry surface, this sealant is designed to be applied while the vehicle is still wet. This makes it a convenient addition to a regular wash routine without introducing a lengthy application process.
How to Use:
The product offers two application methods:
Foam Lance Application
- Dilute at a 1:5 ratio in your foam lance.
- Apply an even layer across the vehicle.
- Follow the product instructions for rinsing and finishing.
Trigger Spray Application
- Dilute at a 1:20 ratio in a suitable spray bottle.
- Apply to the wet panels of the freshly washed and rinsed vehicle.
- Pressure rinse the entire vehicle thoroughly to activate the protective layer.
- Dry immediately using a suitable microfibre drying towel.
The combination of gloss, water repellency and straightforward application makes Top Dog Ceramic Sealant an option for enthusiasts who want to add protection during their usual maintenance wash.
Top Dog Tyre & Trim Dressing: Restore the Exterior Finish
The final stage of an exterior detail is often about the smaller finishing touches. Tyre sidewalls, plastic trim and rubber seals can all influence how complete a freshly cleaned vehicle looks.
Top Dog Tyre & Trim Dressing is a versatile, weather-resistant dressing formulated to restore a deep, natural satin-gloss finish to exterior plastic trim, rubber seals, engine bays and tyre sidewalls.
Its adjustable application allows you to alter the finish depending on the surface and your preferred result. Use it neat for a deeper finish or dilute it for a lighter, more factory-fresh appearance.
The weather-resistant formula also makes it a useful addition to your regular exterior maintenance routine.
How to Use:
For Tyres and Exterior Trim
- Ensure the surface is clean and dry.
- Apply the dressing neat using a dedicated applicator.
- Buff away excess product with a clean microfibre cloth to achieve an even finish.
For a Lighter Finish
- Dilute the product at 1:1 for a more subtle appearance on tyre sidewalls and plastic trim.
For Engine Bays
- Clean the engine bay first using a suitable cleaner, such as Top Dog APC.
- While the surfaces are still damp, mist the dressing at a 1:4 dilution across the appropriate engine bay.
- Close the bonnet and allow the product to level and settle naturally.
