Designed to remove moderate swirl marks, scratches, and paint defects, these pads work seamlessly with medium cut compounds to refine and restore gloss. Ideal for both professionals and enthusiasts, Medium Cut Pads deliver reliable correction and a smoother finish on a wide range of paint types.

What's the process for using a medium cutting pad?


  1. Prep the vehicle: Wash and dry the vehicle thoroughly. For best results, use a panel spray to prep the surface
  2. Prime the pad: Apply 3–4 pea-sized drops of a medium-cut compound to the pad. If using a new pad, apply more product to fully saturate it.
  3. Perform a test spot: Work in a small, inconspicuous area first. This allows you to find the most effective combination of pad, product, and technique for your vehicle's specific paint.
  4. Polish the panel: Work on one small section at a time. Start at a low speed to spread the product, then increase to a medium speed. Work with 50% overlapping passes at a slow, deliberate pace.
  5. Remove residue: Decrease your machine's speed as the compound becomes clear. Buff off any remaining polish residue with a clean, dry microfiber cloth before moving to the next section.
  6. Clean the pad: Use a brush or compressed air to remove excess compound from the pad between sections. For a full wash, use warm water and mild soap, then let it air dry completely
