Soft top and fabric cleaners are designed to safely clean convertible roofs, fabric upholstery, and other textile surfaces. These products remove dirt, mould, and stains while being gentle enough to preserve the fibres, ensuring a fresh, restored look and longer-lasting protection.

How to clean a soft top?

1. Brush off loose dirt: Use a soft-bristle brush to remove dust and debris from the soft top
2. Dampen the fabric: Lightly wet the entire soft top surface with a gentle spray of water
3. Apply the cleaner: Apply the fabric soft top cleaner directly to the damp fabric
4. Let it soak: Allow the cleaner to sit and penetrate the fabric for 10-20 minutes for light dirt, or up to an hour or more for stubborn stains
5. Scrub the fabric: Gently scrub the fabric with a soft brush or sponge to work the cleaner into the weave
6. Rinse thoroughly: Rinse the entire soft top with clean water, ensuring all cleaner residue is removed. Do not use a pressure washer, as this can damage the fabric
7. Repeat if necessary: For heavily soiled areas, you may need to repeat the application and scrubbing process
8. Air dry: Allow the soft top to air dry naturally

Should I apply a protectant after cleaning my soft top?

Yes, it is highly recommended. After cleaning, the soft top's water-repellent properties are diminished. Applying a fabric protectant helps to restore the waterproofing and UV protection, which prevents future fading and staining.
