Number Plate Compliance (DVLA)

Our number plates are produced to meet the relevant UK number plate requirements. Number plates fitted to vehicles from 1 September 2021 must comply with BS AU 145e and display the correct registration format.

We do not recommend using tinted number plates on public roads, as alterations that affect the appearance or legibility of registration characters can cause an MOT failure and may result in penalties.

We also cannot alter the spacing of registration characters in a way that changes how the registration mark is officially displayed. Registration numbers must be displayed correctly and must not be rearranged or altered to make them difficult to read.

Our printed plates are designed for drivers looking for a traditional, understated number plate style without compromising on quality. Each plate is custom made to display your registration clearly and comes with a 12-month guarantee against manufacturing defects.

The standard UK car number plate size is 520mm x 111mm, with shorter options available for registrations containing fewer characters.

Whether you need replacement number plates, a plate for a private registration, or a fresh set for your vehicle, our custom printed number plates offer a clean, classic finish with a choice of sizes to suit your registration.

What documents do I need?

When ordering replacement number plates, you will need to provide documents confirming both your identity and your entitlement to use the registration number.

V5C/2 New Keeper Slip
V778 Retention Document
V750 Certificate of Entitlement
V11 Vehicle Tax or SORN Renewal Reminder
V948 or eV948 Number Plate Authorisation Certificate
Other accepted DVLA documentation

Proof of identity and address can include:

Driving licence
Utility bill
Council Tax bill
Bank or building society statement
National identity card

Original documents may be required by your registered number plate supplier.

How do I send in my documents?

Its never been easier to send in your documents to us! We can accept PDF versions of the following documents for proof of ID and Entitlement.

• Utility, phone, or internet bills
• Bank statements
• eV948 electronic authorisation
• Fleet operator letter of authorisation (with V5C reference number)
• V5C on demand vehicle record printout
