Polishing pads are designed to work alongside compounds and polishes to restore your vehicle’s paintwork. From heavy cutting to fine finishing, polishing pads provide the precision and performance needed to achieve professional results. Our range includes foam, microfibre, and wool pads suitable for all levels of correction and detailing.

Types of Polishing Pads:

• Foam Pads: Available in different degrees of hardness (firmness) and can have open-cell or closed-cell construction
• Microfibre Pads: Offer increased surface area and cutting power due to their fibres but can clog more easily
• Wool Pads: Provide excellent cutting ability, especially with rotary polishers

How to Choose the Right Pad:

• Material: Choose foam, microfiber, or wool based on the desired cutting and finishing capability
• Pad Firmness: Softer pads are for finishing, while firmer pads are for cutting
• Machine Type: Dual Action (DA) polishers work well with foam and microfiber pads, while rotary polishers pair best with dense foam and wool pads
• Product: The type of compound or polish you are using will influence pad selection

Maintenance and Care:

• Cleaning: Clean pads thoroughly after each use to prevent product and clear coat residue build-up, which clogs the surface and reduces performance. You can use a pad washer, compressed air, or a mild detergent and water
• Drying: Air dry pads to prevent shrinkage and mould
