Gyeon Tire vs Gyeon Tire Express, Which is better?
Gyeon Q²M Tire Express and Gyeon Q2 Tire are both fantastic tyre dressings from Gyeon Quartz. Both of which serve there own purpose and give you a desired look dependent on your preference, whether this be a super wet looking tyre or a black, OEM tyre. But which is the better tyre dressing? Lets find out!
Gyeon Q2 Tire is the only SiO2-based tyre coating. It guarantees not only durability, but splendid visual effects as well. Gyeon Q2 tire provides fantastic protection as well as outstanding water behaviour & hydrophobic properties.
Gyeon Q²M Tire Express is the ultimate daily tyre & rubber dressing offering fantastic looks matched with a simple, straightforward application. It will restore the “factory fresh” look of the tyre and keep it for many a hundred miles.
In a nutshell, if you're looking for a wet look tyre with fantastic durability then Gyeon Q2 Tire is the perfect product for you. If you're looking for a product that is going to give you a OEM finish and is slightly more versatile, meaning it can be used on external rubbers also then Gyeon Q2M Tire Express is the perfect product for the job.
Our Findings (based on our staff's experience)
Application: Gyeon Q2 Tire seems to go a little further than Tire Express. With its 'oily' consistency it seems to spread further around the tyre and allow a lot less product to be used.
Durability: Gyeon Q2 Tire is a highly si02 concentrated formula. We've found that we can get close to 4 washes (bi-weekly) / 2 months before Gyeon Q2 Tire begins to fade where as Gyeon Q2M Tire Express seems to diminish after 2 washes / 1 month.
Appearance: Both of the tyre dressings are fantastic in their own way. 3 our of 4 of our staff members preferred the look of Gyeon Q2 Tire due to its very wet looking appearance, whilst the other preferred the OEM finish from the Gyeon Q2M Tire Express.
Sling: Our of both of the products we have found that Gyeon Q2M Tire Express has a lot less sling, when applied to a dry tire and driven within a few hours. If both tyres are dried and heated using a head gun, both of the formulas gave little to no sling on the side of the vehicle.
Summary
If you're looking for a Tyre Shine that has versatility, easy to apply and can be driven with little to no sling in the first few hours from application then Gyeon Q2M Tire Express is the perfect product. If you're willing to put in the work and prepare the tyre correctly using a heat gun and the appropriate tyre cleaning chemicals then Gyeon Q2 Tire is definitely a time saver in the long run. For an OEM matte style finish, Q2M Tire Express but if you're looking for the 'glazed doughnut' look then look no further than Gyeon Q2 Tire.
